School is in Session

So I'm back in school, and that means I'm back to animating for homework. Get ready for an influx of contextless animated shorts that show my technical prowess in several software environments! As boring as all that sounds I will be trying to squeeze every once of fun out of these assignments, and of course you guys will be hit by my semester film by the the end of the year, so keep an eye out!

Hello, just discovered your channel/page/profile/whatever and I really enjoy drawing and artistic things. Can you tell me the name of this degree that you are studying to get? Is it illustration? Or am I being a bit bonkers and it's an animation degree plain out. Lol thanks if you respond. :)

I am getting a Bachelors in Animation. I have a heavy background in Illustration, but I'm not looking for a formal education in it beyond what I have. I'm glad you like my stuff! That's the whole reason I make it. You thinking of going to college soon?

Yeah I am finishing up High School and I want to get into animation, it's always been a hobby of mine to draw. Not just stupid stuff but to do portfolio's too, but to be honest they bore me slightly. I prefer drawing and creating things even though the accomplishment feels great. I have been looking into it but I don't know if it's just me, it's weird looking for one. All the gaming animation, I would not mind getting into but actual animation right now feels good too.

I know what you mean. College was actually one of the first times I had animated. Up until that point all I did was draw, morning noon and night, but at a certain point I asked myself if I could make money being a fine artist and it just didn't seem in the cards. The animation industry is alive and booming and if you like to draw it could be a really smart career choice.
